Purpose

Secure access to an independent, lower-end physical x86_64 validation system for Odin v1. This is a release-validation prerequisite from Set distro, VM, and physical-hardware validation gates, outside the planning map's decision tickets.

Acceptance

  • Physically distinct from the calibration reference, with at least 8 GiB RAM, a usable display, and a hardware Vulkan/GL GPU from a different driver family than the reference.
  • Can boot or be reimaged for Void glibc, Void musl, Debian 13, and Fedora 44 with exact image, package, and kernel builds recorded.
  • Provides enough safe filesystem space for Odin's bounded direct-I/O storage fixture and permits installed headed/headless browser, SSH, terminal, and available thermal/health checks.
  • Serves as the lower-end system for Standard-profile time-budget and six-run repeatability validation.
  • Records hardware model, GPU/driver, storage, OS boot plan, access owner, location, and any capability gaps.

Borrowing, lab access, or an existing system is acceptable; purchase is not assumed. Numerical score qualification still requires the separate repeatability and calibration gates.
