What to build

A user can select a GPU and see whether hardware discovery, driver/API execution, and known-output correctness succeed.

Acceptance criteria

Discover selected device, kernel driver, userspace renderer/API, permissions, and hardware versus software or virtual path; ambiguous selection requires a choice.
Run a bounded known-output operation and report which evidence stage passed or failed without treating API absence as a broken driver.
Preserve device, mode, output, and capability outcomes in the run record; Standard does not open a presentation window.
