Deepen observation-history publication, local-day evidence, and activity selection.

What to build

Make the opening live activity graph follow the newest measured interval until the user deliberately inspects a point. A refresh keeps an inspected point pinned by stable identity; when it leaves the rolling three-hour window, explain the expiration and resume following. The today action resets live following, with reads/writes remaining independent of navigation state.

Acceptance criteria

  • Normal launch selects the newest live point and follows new measured points across refresh without a hidden focus prerequisite.
  • Keyboard and mouse inspection pin the same interval identity across refresh; a read/write switch does not redefine the selected interval or usage-adjusted theoretical lifespan.
  • When the pinned interval leaves the rolling window, the displayed readout explains it and selects live following; today/live immediately resets to following.
  • Build the in-process activity selection module without changing existing plot geometry, themes, reduced motion or unrelated controls; no new adapter is needed.
  • Headless TUI tests exercise user actions and visible readouts at ordinary and constrained sizes; focused transition checks cover identity continuity without asserting private widget indices.
